Mark candidate answers as sensitive information
You can now mark questions containing sensitive information in your job application forms. When marked as sensitive, a candidate's answer will be hidden from the hiring team unless they have specific permission to view it. This feature helps protect candidate privacy by limiting access to certain information. Sensitive information may include personal details, salary requirements, or documentation.
Adding sensitive questions
You can add a sensitive question in the "Questions" section of the application form. Examples include questions about salary, anti-discrimination topics (such as race, religion, or gender identity), and personal or contact information. Simply select any question type (Yes/No, Multiple choice, File upload, or Text) and mark it as "Sensitive." Only team members with the Sensitive information permission will be able to view the answers. The question appears as a regular question in the application form—candidates won't know it's marked as sensitive.
Viewing sensitive questions
Answers to sensitive questions can be viewed on the candidate profile, but only by team members who have the sensitive information permission. Other team members can see the question itself but not the candidate's answer. This ensures your team only has access to the information they need.
Sensitive information permission
The Sensitive information permission allows you and your team to mark parts in Homerun as “Sensitive information”. These can only be viewed by users who have access to the Sensitive information permission. The feature is available for the comments, and is now also available for questions in the apply form. You can read more about how the Sensitive information permission works in our Help Center.
